23.08.18 Thanks Ken & Family!
We were contacted a short time ago by Lisa Hill, who's dad ken Aust recently passed away and had his body donated to medical science. Ken was a proud great grandad to Ruby, who was born 2 months early (6 months before Ken passed) and was saved with the help of equipment from NBC. In his memory at Ken's Memorial Day, friends and family made donation to NBC and incredibly raised over £1,600.00! Thank you one and all. We are extremely humbled to have received this. We understand Ken would have been thrilled to help. What an amazing man! #TeamNoah

09.08.18 Little Adventurer Rory Young

24.07.18 Marex Spectron Donation
Received a wonderful call from Fawad at Marex Spectron who following a change at their offices where they no longer use plastic bottles, found themselves with a surplus of monies they wished to donate to charity. A kind soul at Marex nominated us and £1,500 was swiftly sent on... brilliant surprise on a sunny day! thank you one and all, and welcome to #TeamNoah

15.07.18 The Spitfire Belles did it...
Congratulations to the eight lovely ladies who took on this fantastic 24 hour running challenge in support of NBC. Big thanks to Amy, Cat, Clare, Emily, Jade, Rachel, Sam & Tracey who in blistering heat ploughed on through day and night to complete the event, raising over £1,500 inc GA. Tough ladies.... Sincere thanks to you all!

06.07.18 Adrian Heathfield Team GB / Team Noah
We were delighted to be approached several months ago by Adrian Healthfield a GB Para Athlete, who previously represented GB in Triathlon before moving to cycling. Adrian is taking on a 12 hour time trial challenge in York on July 29th and will be looking to do as many miles as he can in that time, (The magic goal for most seems to be over 200 miles in the time) and raise lots of money for us and another amazing charity that supports disabled adults. Please read Adrian's Story below and join us in wishing him all the best and if you can support him please see the link: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/AdrianHeathfield

Right. Adrian in full swing on two wheels.

While on holiday in France at the start of February 2003 I had an accident while learning to snowboard and suffered a spiral fracture. This resulted in 8 ½ years of treatment, over 40 operations as the bone wouldn’t unite, with numerous bone infections. The leg was amputated below the knee in November 2011, partly elective and partly because of more infections and partly because I didn’t believe it would work. It was thought by everyone involved who was involved in my care, family and friends to be the right decision.

I recovered very quickly, obviously there is a little more to it than it sounds as there were initial complications but within 6 months I ran my first 10K on a walking foot and came 3rdin the Para Triathlon National Championships. I was part of the GB World Class Para Triathlon Team in 2014, racing the World Series in 4 races for GB, before falling out of love with triathlon after continual injuries all through 2015. I moved over to road and time trial cycling at the start of 2016, ultimately the goal would be to make the GB team for 2020 Paralympics but am under no illusion of how hard it is even to make the GB team.

I will though give all I have!      Adrian Heathfield

04.07.18 12 Months 12 Events for Ophelia
David Applin approached us with the idea of taking on 12 events over 12 months to raise money for NBC in memory of his niece Ophelia, who was born in June 2017 and unfortunately passed away the following month on July 14th. Following such a heart breaking experience, David wanted to support his brother and sister-in-law (Mark & Louise), respecting the value they placed on the support NBC gave to the NICU units and staff who supported them whilst in hospital. Hats off to David and wishing you all the luck for the coming year! Please take a look at this fundraising page. https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/davidapplin

02.07.18 Wishing us Well!!
So it took a lot counting and a looooot of trips to the bank, but we finally did it, and finished counting all the coins kindly donated by Thurrock Garden Centre from their onsite wishing well. A huge thank you to Anna Hallett who originally contacted us and dropped the bucket of coins off, as well as to the many many many people who must of dropped a coin in the well. Fantastically £730.31 was raised. Thank you one and all.

29.06.18 Dogtopia 2018
One of our longest supporters Alicia Bratby of Alicia's Obedience Dog Training, together with Dogtopia Pet Services and Hardie Park organised the Dogtopia Show 2018 this year and made NBC their charity for the event yet again. They raised £433.00 which is fantastic. Great big thank you to Alicia & all who took part, visited and donated, the continued support is fantastic.

29.06.18 FOOOOOUR....
Good luck and thank you to Ross & Charlie Ferrington who have arranged a Golf Day raising funds for NBC. They have 130 Golfers playing at Burstead Golf Club today, Billericay..... 130 that is  is phenomenal! Good luck to one and all! Hope the sun shines all day!

22.06.18 Rory's Adventure
We have been contacted by Ryan & Kimberley Young who wanted to reach out and thank all those who support NBC, because in Ryan's words, 'Without the apparatus provided by the charity and donations it’s very possible my son wouldn’t be strong, healthy and with us as a family today.' .......

What can we say, chuffed and thankful to everyone who makes up Team Noah! Enjoy you're Friday you've earned it!

Ryan and Kimberley have been kind enough to share their story, which will be on our little adventurers section shortly.

21.06.18 Basildon Update 2
Well it's taken several months of the world famous NHS red tape but the last bit of kit from our last grant for Basildon NICU has arrived. This handheld unit is a non-invasive tool to measure TSB within a neonates body and the subsequent degree of Jaundice. This is used in conjunction with phototherapy units funded, to measure jaundice changes. THIS WILL HELP IMMEDIATELY ON UNIT! Thanks one and all.

17.05.18 Basildon Update
Basildon University Hospital NICU nurses kindly showing off 5 pieces of equipment we recently funded with a total grant in excess of £17,000.00!!
Pictured are 3no. Optiflow Units which assist premature babies with breathing, helping reduce the effort needed. The 2 larger units are photo-therapy units, used for nursing babies with jaundice. #Making A Difference

15.05.18 Echo Joy
Received these cracking photos today with Dr Steve Kempley of the Royal London NICU at the helm using the Echo Simulator funded by NBC at almost £24,000.00, to demonstrate to staff a real world scan information of a neonate heart. Previously this was only available on unit, with a vulnerable baby in NICU care. This teaching aid is the first of its kind in the UK at the time of funding, and provides real world scenarios, in a controlled environment, to train Neonatologist how to diagnose and address heart defects in premature babies. This is game changing with far reaching implications for RLH & neonatologist nationally.

10.04.18 Smiling at the sky
Well....... it's hard to believe that it is 5 years since our little guy passed away. In some ways it still feels like yesterday.  You are still inspiring us and many more to do better! Still looking up to the stars little man.....!!!

20.03.18 Wishing us Well....
Received a lovely call today from Anna Hallett who wanted to donate all the money from the Thurrock garden Centre wishing well that had recently been collected up. Anna and her husband had personally experienced life with there prem baby at both Basildon and The Royal London. Having seen information about us on the units, Anna thankfully thought of us. Now just some drying out of coins and the counting can begin! Thanks again Anna and all the team at Thurrock Garden Centre. Update to follow on the amount raised......

12.02.18 TV Celebrity....
We were delighted to be invited on the Victoria Derbyshire show on BBC2, regarding parental involvement in the care of premature babies. Richard was a guest on the sofa, interviewed by Chloe Tilly. Very surreal, but met some great people, Victoria and Nancy Russell, together with Dr Chris Gale. Delighted to raise the profile of NICU care and NBC. Huge thank you to all the team. Full interview below.

05.02.18 Eva Smiles
We took a call from Ross Ferrington a few days ago, who called to offer to fundraise for the charity, by organising a golf day in late June. The reason Ross and his wife Charlie have offered to help is because their daughter Eva was born 13 weeks prematurely at Basildon University hospital. Eva was then transferred to the Royal London NICU, for more specialist care. At both hospitals Eva benefitted from the use of equipment funded by NBC. Ross said 'Without the equipment you have bought for Basildon Hospital, my daughter wouldn’t be here today'...... We are still beaming! We are filled with tremendous pride for the entire #TeamNoah family, that together we are saving lives!!! Thank you one and all, and welcome to the world little Eva, you look amazing!!!.

23.01.18 Brighten your day!
With thanks Tracey Glester at Basildon University NICU, we received these fantastic photos from the unit, of some of the cutest twins you could hope for, clutching our NBC Santaboos donated at Christmas..... made us smile wide! Welcome to the world little guys and thanks to both sets of parents for sharing them with us.

09.01.18 Twinkle Bright
Today would have been Noah's 5th Birthday and how time has flown. Obviously we would have loved to be throwing a birthday party today, but it was not meant to be. However we take tremendous pride from how in his memory approximately £240k has been raised, which has been able to help countless babies get home. Well done little man, Twinkle bright!

Come On The Noah

01.01.18 HAPPY NEW YEAR
